Raid kayaking in Glacier Bay (United States)

If the mere name of this bay in Alaska is enough to entice any sea kayaker who respects himself, the reality is even more captivating. Ten glaciers descend from the mountains into Glacier Bay, depositing all kinds of icebergs. The Spirit of Adventure, a vessel plying routes in the bay, kayakers may file at different points. The more daring move from boat to paddle to the strength of the glaciers of Muir Inlet from Bartlett Cove (allow about two weeks). Icebergs are most impressive in the west arm, but are limited camping opportunities in this sector. The beaches of the Beardslee Islands are ideal for camping.
